Designated a Professional Expert by the Los Angeles Unified School District, author Marjorie Cowley created a curriculum to teach prehistoric archaeology to students from kindergarten through high school in both regular and gifted classes.

Her books, Dar and the Spear-Thrower, Anooka's Answer and The Golden Bull, grew out of her teaching experience and lifelong interest in the vast span of our prehistoric past.

Ms. Cowley has traveled widely, pursuing her fascination with ancient art and architecture. She has been a graphic designer and calligrapher, but now devotes her time to writing books for young readers. She graduated from Stanford University and lives in Santa Monica, California.
