| Ms. Cowley's flexible
fifty-minute presentation consists of a back-and-forth discussion
of prehistoric archaeology, the writing of her books, and the differences
and similarities of ancient ways of life and our own. In addition,
she shows some twenty slides of cave art and artifacts that are
graphic examples of the material in her books. She also brings in
authentic tools and weapons owned by UCLA, which students are invited
to handle after the presentation. Her fee schedule is also flexible
and dependent on the number of presentations and the budget of the
school.

"Thank you so much
for sharing your time and expertise with our students and staff.
It was an incredible experience and really gave life to prehistoric
times. I could tell by the kinds of questions asked that the students
were engaged. Having the artifacts will cause some of them to remember
the hour the rest of their lives."
